New Rules to be issued by HHS for HITECH Act in December

Department of HHS (Health and Human Services) have intended to issue this month a number of rules to implement major provisions of the HITECH Act with the ARRA.

Medicare Incentive programs to be started on Oct 1, 2010 for hospitals and Jan 1 2011 for physicians as per the agenda. This regulatory agenda identifies actions the department intends to take.

Following HITECH rules remain scheduled for publication in December 2009.
