India to expand cloud computing infrastructure soon

One of the Bid Four Auditors & a research firm Ernst and Young has reported in their resent survey about increasing adoption of cloud computing infrastructure among the Indian IT firms.

Cloud computing infrastructure refers to the Pay Per Use model where IT/ITes companies provide access of their applications and software to the client over internet without deploying the entire system at client’s end. Some of the substantial benefits of cloud computing model are lower initial cost, fast and easy implementation and painless upgrades among others.

Cloud computing has three parts. Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). A survey revealed that over 72 percent of Indian IT Infrastructure firms are willing to adopt cloud computing in a big way over the next 2-3 years.

Regional Extension Centers playing key role for Primary Physicians to achieve meaningful use of EHR

As a part of Obama’s HITECH Act, 60 regional extension centers across the US has been selected so far and granted $643 million to provide technical assistance & education to 100,000 primary care physicians to implement Electronic Health Records.

Selected RECs has been evaluating EHR products in the market to provide best references and choice to the physicians in their respective regions. Many of the RECs has already selected their preferred EHR vendors who will work closely with the RECs to achieve meaningful use by adopting their EHR solutions.
